This immersive, multi-sensory canopy was designed incorporating the community’s voices and encourages a sense of connection and belonging. Central to this project is a unique soundscape curated by Nina Cooke John and project collaborator Yolanda Wisher with a score composed by Kendrah Butler-Waters.
The project was presented by uCity Square, in collaboration with Mural Arts Philadelphia and led by Studio Cooke John Architecture and Design, and is a permanent art installation, located at The Square (37th & Cuthbert Streets).
